We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Registered Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of young residents. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for childcare and supporting children’s needs. Duties
- Lead and manage the residential team to deliver high-quality care aligned with organisational policies and child welfare standards.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each child’s individual needs and circumstances.
- Ensure the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all children within the residence at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies through effective communication.
- Oversee daily routines including educational activities, leisure pursuits, and behavioural management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, incidents, and care plans using IT systems.
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and supervise team performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive organisational initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Ensure all legal and safeguarding procedures are adhered to in accordance with statutory regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting.
- Previous management or supervisory experience within a childcare or social care environment is desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and care planning processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
