We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Care Home Manager to lead our highly-rated, purpose-built nursing home situated in the tranquil outskirts of Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will join our dedicated team, ensuring the continued delivery of top-tier nursing and dementia care to our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.
  • Maintain and build upon our ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating through continuous improvement strategies.
  • Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team to excel in providing compassionate care.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards within the care home environment.
  • Manage the home’s finances and budget, striving for cost-effectiveness without compromising care quality.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in care, transparency, and respect throughout the home.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to enhance the lives of residents.
  • Implement policies and procedural changes that improve the care delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, while ensuring that staffing levels meet residents’ needs.
  • Manage and resolve any complex care issues or concerns raised by residents or their families.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse with active NMC registration (preferable).
  • NVQ Level 5 or equivalent qualification in social care leadership and management.
  • Proven track record in managing a similar care environment with strong operational results.
  • Demonstrable experience in elderly and dementia care.
  • In-depth understanding of CQC regulations and the ability to uphold these to an ‘Outstanding’ rating.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
