We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assist with medication management as per care plans and guidelines.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff or care manager.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care.
- Certification in First Aid is preferred; additional training in nursing or related fields is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients when necessary.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality support and care to individuals in need.
